Who knew that Oklahoma had mountains?! Being a wedding photographer in Texas where it’s so flat made me super excited that this was only a short drive away. This Wichita Mountains engagement session was so fun to and I still can’t believe that these are in OK. Cami & Colby are getting married in November and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of their day. It was my first time shooting in the mountains so I got there early and scoped out the location and where would be the best spots.
What makes it easy about shooting at here is that you really just drive in and find a parking lot and part. You can actually drive up to the tippy top of Mount Scott for some GORG-EOUS views. There is really so much to explore and different sceneries all through out this mountain range.
We got there about 2 hours before sunset, but the clouds rolled in with no sun in sight and looked like it was about to rain but that didn’t stop us. There is a field at the base of Mount Scott that is overgrown with wildflowers that was the perfect spot to get started. As we were finishing up down there it started to rain, so we hustled back to the cars and drove up to the tippy top of the mountain to wait out the rain.
